Developed for the Norte Energia client, the Belo Monte HPP, located on the Xingu River, PA, is the largest hydroelectric power plant 100% Brazilian and has an installed capacity for the production of 11,233 MW.
Intertechne was responsible for the basic ANEEL and consolidated basic designs. Subsequently, we led the Design Consortium, and developed the executive design entirely, in addition to being responsible for the technical assistance of the work. Construction began in 2011 and ended in 2015.
In addition to the large production capacity, the designs were also designed to minimize the environmental impacts caused by the construction of the plant, with modern and preservationist strategies, which meet the most demanding concepts of sustainability
