Palomino HPP was built on the Yanque del Sur and del Medio rivers, in the province of San Juan – Dominican Republic, and belongs to the Corporación Dominicana de Empresas Elétricas Estatales (CDEEE).

Intertechne was responsible for the elaboration of the basic designs of the transmission line, consolidation of the basic design, development of the civil, electrical and mechanical executive designs, telecommunications design, resident civil engineering services, coordination of interfaces and coordination of the preparation of operation manuals and maintenance of the plant.

Palomino has an installed capacity of 80 MW and was built between 2006 and 2011. Its roller-compacted concrete dam has 65 m and the hydroelectric plant has added a 15% increase in the country’s electrical generation.
