Intertechne has built a strong track record in major highway projects across Brazil, combining technical expertise, innovative solutions and a deep understanding of the challenges involved in complex infrastructure projects. Its experience spans road planning, design, technical advisory and BIM integration, contributing to projects that have a direct impact on mobility and regional development.
This journey began with projects that demanded strategic vision and advanced technical expertise, including the new ascent of Serra de Petrópolis on BR-040. Intertechne was responsible for the alignment studies, basic design and detailed design of a modern and safer alternative for this section, meeting DNIT requirements while addressing the challenges posed by the region’s complex terrain.
The company subsequently expanded its work in Bahia, with projects covering sections of the BA-526 and BA-528 highways. Its scope included detailed designs for pavement, drainage, road signage and retaining structures. As major highway concession projects gained momentum, Intertechne took on a strategic role in the technical development of Lot 5 of the Rodovias Integradas do Paraná, providing technical advisory services to an investment group. The work involved the analysis of more than 430 km of highways, including sections of BR-158, BR-369, PR-317 and BR-163, as well as the Guaíra bypass, balancing technical requirements with economic feasibility.
In Curitiba, Intertechne provided a technical assessment for the drainage project of Linha Verde Norte (BR-476), further expanding its contribution to urban mobility infrastructure. In São Paulo, the company worked on a series of highway duplication and intersection projects along the Raposo Tavares Highway (SP-270) and SP-258. Deliverables ranged from functional design to detailed design, incorporating BIM methodology across sections totaling more than 100 km.
This accumulated expertise led to one of the most challenging undertakings in Brazilian highway engineering: the resumption of the Northern São Paulo Beltway, known as Rodoanel Norte. Acting as Independent Reviewer, Intertechne has provided technical support for the ongoing works, carrying out due diligence, inspections, technical validations and the development of new detailed designs.
The project encompasses 44 km of roadway, seven twin tunnels, 107 structures and more than 17,000 documents reviewed. Its scale and complexity reflect Intertechne’s ability to coordinate and deliver technical solutions for major infrastructure projects under demanding conditions and tight schedules.
At the same time, Intertechne continued to contribute to the expansion and modernization of Paraná’s highway network through projects involving PR-151, PRC-272, PRC-466, PRC-487 and PRC-460.
Today, the company is developing the access projects for the Guaratuba Bridge, including the BIM integration of the project as a whole. Its current portfolio also includes functional designs, preliminary designs and detailed designs for the modernization of Nova 381 in Minas Gerais and Nova 364 in Roraima.
