Intertechne has a consolidated presence among the main engineering companies in Brazil. In its segment, consultancy services, projects, supervision and construction management, the company adds to its operations in Brazil the participation in projects abroad, with an effective global presence. With a multidisciplinary team, which combines experience, knowledge and innovation, related to studies and projects of infrastructure works, the company has been expanding its operations in markets where it is already consolidated in the segments of Energy Generation and Transmission, Renewable Energy; Transport; Oil & Gas/Industrial; Mining and Infrastructure Works Management.

We are immensely proud to have participated in emblematic infrastructure projects, for example, in the Energy Generation segment, in Brazil and around the world, such as Belo Monte HPP, the largest 100% Brazilian hydroelectric plant and Laúca HPP (Angola), one of the largest dams on the African continent, among many others in this segment. Projects like these have made Intertechne an international reference in the segment.
In other segments, such as Transport Infrastructure, projects such as Lines 4 and 6 of the São Paulo Metro, the expansion of Tom Jobim International Airport (RIO Galeão) and Viracopos International Airport in São Paulo, in addition to the international airports of Porto Alegre and Fortaleza.
In the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical segment, we serve some of the most important and demanding players in the sector, such as: Petrobras and Braskem. At Braskem, it is worth highlighting, for example, the implementation of engineering solutions at the Duque de Caxias Polypropylene Unit and for Petrobras, engineering services for the expansion and improvements of oil platforms in the Campos Basin, among many other important projects in the sector.
In the Renewable Energy segment, despite being recent, the company already has a long history of services in medium- and large-sized plants, both in Brazil and abroad, in diversified activities such as Technical Due Diligence, greenfield projects, construction support and EPC proposals, Basic and Executive Projects and Owner’s Engineering Services.
In the Mining segment, the company has a long history of engineering services with the main mining companies in Brazil, in several areas such as: Decharacterization of Dams, Independent Audits, Structure Reinforcement Projects and Periodic Dam Safety Reports; Engineering of Record (EoR); Mining Processes and Facilities; and services related to socio-environmental and mining sustainability demands.
In the Infrastructure Works Management segment, the company uses solid accumulated experience in implementing large infrastructure projects, of high complexity and a high degree of technical interface, in the development of Project activities; Management and Planning; Preparation of Technical Specifications; Analysis and Leveling of Proposals; Technical and commercial equalization, acquisition and logistics of materials and equipment for energy and infrastructure works; Supervision of assembly and commissioning of works and industrial installations; and direct participation in EPC’s.

Organized in 1987, Intertechne began its activities with an experienced group of professionals, expanded its activities by incorporating new talents, adding and training young engineers and technicians, acquiring and developing new technologies for analyzing and preparing engineering projects.
In 2004, Intertechne achieved recognition for its Quality Management System with NBR ISO 9001:2000 certification and in 2009, the company achieved ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.
The company has established itself in the Water and Energy market with emblematic operations in Hydroelectric Projects and Large Dams in Brazil and abroad.
During this trajectory, Intertechne successfully incorporated other engineering segments. And it has currently consolidated itself in its field of activity, in projects and management of infrastructure works, as one of the main project engineering and consultancy companies in Brazil, operating selectively in a wide range of projects of Generation and Transmission of electricity in Brazil and abroad, as well as in other segments of Infrastructure, such as transport – subway, shipyards, ports, airports, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Fertilizers, Renewable Energy and Mining.
Over the last 20 years we have invested in the internationalization of our operations through the export of services and the construction of strategic alliances with companies in Europe, the United States and Canada. We also formed a vast network of professionals spread across the most varied countries, which gave us support in the development of large-scale projects and works carried out in different countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia. This demonstrates Intertechne’s vocation and ability to act as a global company.
From the beginning, we believed that our greatest asset is people. We believe that an engineering company is not just made up of the best methodologies, software, equipment and offices. Above all, the human element is necessary. Our teams are largely responsible for our successful trajectory.

On October the 20th, 1987, Intertechne was founded.
First contract: Basic and Executive Design, Inventory and Feasibility Study of the Pitinga Small Hydro Power Plant in the Amazon.
Basic and Executive Design of Salto Hydro Power Plants Caxias, in Brazil. And first international project: HPP Pichi Picun Leufu, in Argentine.
Preparing projects such as the Cana Brava Hydro Power Plants makes us the leading designer in the Brazilian Water and Energy segment.
Quality Management System, with NBR ISO 9001:2000 certification.
With the Paulista Station project, Line 4 of the São Paulo Metro, we started a new service segment: Transport Infrastructure.
We obtained ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.
First highway expansion, Nova Subida da Serra de Petrópolis (RJ). In the same year, we designed the expansion of the Portonave Cargo Storage Area, in Navegantes (SC).
Belo Monte Hydro Power Projects in Brazil. In Peru, Chaglla HPP received the Milestone Rockfill Dam Project International Award.
Viracopos International Airport Project, in Campinas (SP). In the same year, we highlight the Laúca HPP Project, the largest hydro power in Angola, Africa.
