Janaúba solar complex, in Minas Gerais, will be built by Andrade Gutierrez, which was contracted by Elera Renováveis, a unit of the Canadian group Brookfield in Brazil, and in its first phase will have an 830 MW installed capacity. Intertechne is responsible for the UFV’s civil and electrical executive design. The project started in January and the solar plant is expected to start operating in early 2022.

According to Rafael Castilha, project manager at Intertechne, this undertaking will further strengthen Intertechne’s technical capacity in the area of renewable energies. ”It is an immense satisfaction to participate in a photovoltaic project of this magnitude, perhaps among the largest of its kind in South America.
